No it wasn’t a football game, it was the Giants vs Rockies. Unfortunately the Rockies won the battle. It was actually a sad loss for the Giants. They were leading 6-3 for the first 5 innings, but then the Rockies began rallying and scored 7 in the 6th. Then became a sickening 6-14 after 7. But the Giants almost tied it up, but was 3 runs short in the end. Terrible terrible loss.

But the Giants’ offense seemed to be waking up! Scored 11 in a game. 5 homeruns, yes count ‘em, 5 dingers! And yes by the Giants. Schierholtz, 2 by Garko, Rowand, & Sandoval! The day the bats really come alive, is the day the bullpen decides to blow it. Reallly. I think Bochy should have pulled Martinez after 5, and put Miller in without that much pressure and then Medders, and so on. I know I’m not the manager, but really! Terrible terrible loss, once again.

Tomorrow Tim Lincecum vs sorry I don’t know who the pitcher for the Rockies is. Tim Lincecum’s last game was not at all like the 2008 Cy Young winner. But no doubt tomorrow he’ll give everything he has, and hopefully the Giants’ bats are alive again like today and yesterday. Going for #13 for the 4th time. Lincecum should have well over 14 wins right now if the Giants offense decided to wake up during his games.

Giants need to win tomorrows game, and if they also win Mondays they’d tie it up in the Wild Card, but if they don’t win Monday they’d be back down to 2 games. But there’s still a lot of games between these 2 so, even though these games are so important, it won’t be the end of the world if they lose. But they need to keep playing quality games and just hope for the best.
