Rentaria couldn’t save the Giants this time
Rentaria, top 9th 2 outs man on 1st. I didn’t expect him to hit another home run to save the Giants, but I did expect him to have a meaningful at bat and not get out by a foul ball pop up. Really. The Giants’ offense is pathetic. I will admit that the bats come alive sometimes, but most of the time they’re dead asleep.
Giants lost 1-0 to the Phillies. I know the Phillies are hard to beat, but if you give up 1 run for the whole game, it should be expected to get some runs in too especially from Hamel! He is not having a good year, and he throws a shut out. Unbelievable.
Rich Aurilia was great pinch hitting. Andres Torres was safe, bad call. Benji Molina needs to take some pitches and take his time. Edgar Rentaria can’t get ‘lucky’ twice and he can’t win every ball games. Seriously!! 2 hits. WOW.
It’s gonna be hard to get into October without an offense. Learn how to get runners into scoring position, learn how to put them on third, and learn how to sac fly! The easiest ways to get a run home even without a stable offense. My goodness.
But all in all, Sanchez was great tonight, but of course he got the loss giving up only 1 run and making great pitches. What a shame.
Brad Penny tomorrow and I really don’t know what to expect. I guess I’m expecting that he won’t do as well as Sanchez did tonight, but when Smoltz and Lee came to NL they started off amazing, let’s just hope he follows that trend or close to it. Because if the Giants do make it to the playoffs, Phillies are probably the team they’ll face first. 3 of 4 at home, let’s take 2 of 3 at theirs! Come on Giants!
Now I’m hoping the depleted Mets some how wins tonight against the Rox!
So I don’t know if you’ve guys heard…
But the Giants just swept the Rox and are now tied for first place in the Wild Card!!!!!! Lincecum, Zito, and Cain!!!!!
Okay I think someone up there doesn’t want Cain to get his 13th, but Giants still beat the Rockies despite being down 5-2 at one point! Edgar Rentaria smoked one out of the yard for a Grand salami!!!! Matt Cain wasn’t that terrible, but he wasn’t as sharp as his last outings. I along with the other Giants fans can smelll October. And you can argue all you want about the Rox being the one who’ll take the Wild Card, but Giants aren’t going to fade, they’ll be fighting till the last weekend in San Diego.
Day off tomorrow and it’s a good timing. Giants don’t need a 5th starter after Sanchez, Lincecum will have his 4 days rest and be good to go on the second game of the series against the Phillies. Sanchez won when the Phillies were in town, Lincecum won when the Phillies were in town, and Zito won when the Phillies were in town. And the only thing that’ll maybe stop these 3 starters is that it’s not at home. If the Giants win the series in Philadelphia then everybody should really fear these Giants even more. Unfortunately though, Rox are going to NYC to play the depleted Mets and it looks like they might get a lot of wins there. But David Wright might be back soon! Fingers crossed.
Good job Giants!!!!!! Let’s continue to win some good baseball!

I am tired…
of looking at the NL wild card standings,
win for Giants, win for Rockies, lose for Giants, lose for
Rockies. This has got to end. After tomorrow’s game Giants
Vs. Phillies, the Phillies will face the Rockies in
Philadelphia. And I will be rooting for the Phillies from
then on. Sweep the Rockies, Phillies! Houston should be less
stressful for the Giants because they toppled over them
before, but still, I’m hoping for the best. And then the
Reds.
